THE LEGEND OF KEMUNING FLOWER

A long time ago, there was a kingdom ruled by a King. The King had five  beautiful daughters. The king was very wise. But he was too busy with his leadership. Therefore, he could not afford to educate their daughters well. His wife had been passed away when she is giving birth the youngest child, so, their daughters was raised by servants of kingdom. The Princess were became naughty. They just loved to play, they didn’t want to learn and also helped their father. The conflict was often happened in their conversation.
One day, The King would go away from kingdom. He gathered their daughters.

(The King and The five princess are gathered)

The King : ”I will go away for a long times. What is souvenirs that you want?”
Princess Pink : “I want the expensive jewelries, Dad”
Princess Red : “I want sparkling silk clothes”
Princess Green : “Daddy, I want the golden bracelets”
Princess Blue : “I want a silk scarf and a pair of shiny shoes”

... but it is different with princess kemuning
Princess Kemuning : (thought for a moment) “Daddy, I just want you to comeback safely”
(smile).
The King : “Oh, my daughter, how good what you say. Of course, I will comeback safely and bring a beautiful gift for you” (feel happy).

During The King went, The Princess were more and more naughty and lazy. They often shout and instructed the servants to follow their wishes.

(Princess  Pink, Princess Red, Princess Green , and Princess Blue were gathering and being lazy)

Princess Pink : “Servant! get me some food! Hurry up, I'm hungry”
Servant 1 : (rush over to princess pink) “Yes, princess” (comeback again with food)
Princess Red : “Servant! get me some food too, hurry up” (said arrogantly to servant 2)
Servant 2 : “Yes, princess” (go to take food and give it to Princess Red)
Princess Green : “Hey, give me the freshiest drinks” (said to servant 1)
Servant 1 : (bow; go to take the drink) “Here it is, princess, the freshiest drink in the palace” (give drinks to Princess Green)
Princess Green : “What?! What is it? What kind of drinks, huh?! (throw the drink)
Servant 1 & 2 : (bow again and again) Forgive me, princess. We will take the other drinks”
Some places in the palace were very dirty, one of them was a garden, because the servants was very busy serving the princess. Princess Kemuning was sad when she saw the garden which loved by The King was dirty. Because of that, she cleaned the garden, but the other princess was laughing at her.

(In the garden)
Princess Kemuning : (Picking up the dried leaves)
Princess Blue : “Look! We have a new maid, guys! Haha” (sneered)
Princess Green : “hey maid, It is still dirty here” (throw the dried leaves)
Princess Kemuning : (feel so sad) “You are absolutely arrant!”
Princess Red : “Never mind, guys! Come on” (walking away)
(Princess Red, Princess Blue, Princess Green and Princess Red left their sister)

It happened everyday until The King comeback to palace. When The King arrived  in the palace, he saw his daughter in the garden. The King approached Princess Kemuning.

(Princess Kemuning looking around the garden, suddenly The King approach her)
The King : “My daughter, you are very dilligent and kind. I just can give you this green stone, not your favorite colour, yellow” (give the green stone)
Princess Kemuning : “Never mind, dad. It’s very beautiful. Look, suitable with my scarf. Ah, I will make a cup of tea for you, dad” (bowing to The King)

When Princess Kemuning was walking to kitchen, she passed with Princess Green. Princess Green saw the green stone which worn by Princess Kemuning.

(Princess Green pull Princess Kemuning's hand)
Princess Kemuning : (look toward)
Princess Green : “Hey my sister your green stone is very beautiful. It must be mine because I’m princess Green!” (shouted to Princess Kemuning)
Princess Kemuning : “No! Daddy had given it to me not to you”

Heard that, Princess Green was annoyed and angry. She planned to instigate her sisters to snatch a green stone.

(At the garden, All the Princess gathering)
Princess Green : “Listen! That green stone is mine, she took it from me” (acting sad)
Princess Blue : “Yeah, return it! You’re a thief”
Princess Kemuning : “No, I did’t steal. Daddy give it to me”
Princess Red : “Haha, no thief would admit his crimes”
Princess Kemuning : “No, please believe me”
Princess Green : “Shut up!” (hit Princess Kemuning’s head until she died)
Princess Blue : “Hey, hey, Kemuning wake up! Hey!” (surprised)
Princess Green : “Ha.. Is she died? how we must do?” (very surprised)
Princess Red : “Oh my.. we must bury her” (panic)

They buried princess kemuning with a green stone at garden, before people in the palace knew. The King and the servants looked for Princess Kemuning, but Princess Kemuning was still not found. The King was gathering his daughters and servants.

(The King, The Princess, and The servants is gathering)
The King : “Do you know where is Kemuning?”
Servant 1 : ”I’m sorry, my lord. I have not seen her since yesterday”
Servant 2 : “Forgive me, my lord. I don’t know where is she”
The King : “Ok, both of you find her, hurry!” (said to servants; then say to her daughters) “And do you know where is your sister?”
All The Princess : “Forgive me. We don’t know where she is” (bowed head)
The King : (nods) “Ok, back to your room”
All The Princess : “Yes, dad” (go back to their room)

(After all left)

The King : (monologue) “I’m the worst father, I didn’t bring up my daughters well. I will send my daughters away for learning and improve their attitude”

Then, The King sent his daughters away. The King always thinking about Princess Kemuning all the time. One Day, The King has walking around at the garden, and he found a flower on Princess Kemuning’s grave. He was wonder.

(walking around the garden and find the flower)

The King : (raise the eyebrows) “What is the name of this flower? I never see this flower.The stem likes Princess’ robe. The leaves likes green stone. And the colour of flowers is yellow, like Kemuning’s scarf. This flower reminded me to Kemuning. So, I will name it Kemuning”

Since that, The Flowers named Kemuning. The Flowers can scent hair. The stems can be made into webbing, and the bark can be made powder. In fact, even though she was dead, her kindness is not dead.
